Rowing is a diverse world with many avenues to explore. We cover a few of them but others are available through the other clubs within and around Cardiff.

Cardiff City RC
CCRC is a local River Rowing Performance Club that trains regularly with the aims of racing and performing at regional level. Their members are usually more experienced, but they do take beginners and help them develop.
Cardiff Met Uni BC
CMUBC is a Student River Rowing Club that caters for all attending Cardiff Metropolitan University. Their aims are competing at the student events each year and surpassing their results. Their members are all students attending Cardiff Met.
Cardiff University RC
CURC is a Student River Rowing Club that caters for all attending Cardiff University. Their aims are competing at the student events each year and surpassing their results. Their members are all students attending Cardiff University.
Barry Yacht Club
BYC is a Celtic Longboat Coastal Rowing Club. Based in Barry with Membership open to all, their aim is to provide a fun and social way to enjoy the coastline, and also compete in the Welsh Sea Rowing League, where they have a successful history.
The Welsh Indoor Rowing Championships are an annual event run by CBWAC since 1998. It is a 2-day event, for ages 10+. Competitors range from complete beginners, to international athletes. All are welcome.
Welsh Rowing is the Governing Body for river rowing in Wales. In their daily workings they also have a high performance program with dedicated facilities and coaching team. Their aspirations are towards performance at National level, representing Team GB.
